Clients often come to us wanting to know when something is going to happen. These questions can be answered by Horary; but the alternative is to look at transits, progressions, and/or directions. This technique is based on the speed of transits. She will do this once using a famous person and a past event and then will do timings of events in the lives of participants.
Julene Packer Louis, Dipl.OCA, is a professional astrologer who combines the disciplines of Yoga and Astrology as a journey to awakening. She is the CEO of the International Academy of Astrology, where she has been teaching for twelve years. Julene is certified by ISAR as a CAP (certified astrological professional).

MARCH
Lecture: Thursday, March
21, 2013 7:00 PM
Misty Kuceris
Ceres: The Power of Compromise

The power of Ceres is still one of the best kept secrets in astrology. A corn goddess who seeks her daughter and is willing to destroy the earth until her daughter returns is the most common understanding of Ceres. Yet, this is a woman who understands her full power and the need to temper it with compromise in order to win. The most important component of Ceres is that it indicates how you can use your own power. You can either tap into the destructive energy of Ceres which shows little regard to others, or you can generate compromise which leads to success in your life.
Misty Kuceris is an astrologer with over 30 years of experience working with both personal and corporate clients. In addition to her consulting business, Misty lectures internationally and authors several astrological columns and publications. She is co-founder of NOVA Astrology Group in Northern Virginia and sits on the board of NCGR, Annapolis chapter.

Joseph Crane
Why Did Dante Put Astrologers in Hell?

Dante’s Divine Comedy contains a full-fledged spiritual cosmology and is full of astrological symbolism. So why did the poet famously place diviners and magicians and astrologers deep in Hell? And why do they eternally walk with their heads backwards?” Using the Divine Comedy as a guide, Joseph will shed light on the conflicted role of astrologers within traditional and modern cultures.
Joseph C. Crane has been an astrologer, teacher, and writer since the 1980s. He is co-founder of the Astrology Institute where he trains students in astrological and counseling skills. On the faculty of Kepler College where he teaches mythology, astrology, and philosophy; he is the author of A Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology, Astrological Roots: The Hellenistic Legac, and Between Fortune and Providence: Astrology and the Universe in Dante’s Divine
Comedy.
