Medical Astrology

We begin by studying wellness: what is the best way for each individual to stay healthy through diet, exercise and life style. We then consider how transits, profections, progressions or other dynamic chart movement can impact the body, and whether particular patterns are likely to lead to disease. We then consider what makes a successful surgery chart and examine some examples of charts for when people have illnesses in order to learn how to diagnose the severity of the problem, ideas for treatment, prognosis and whether their health care providers are doing a good job.

Lee Lehman has a Ph.D. in Botany from Rutgers University. She is Vice President of the Board of OCA Corp. and teaches at IAA, the Midwest School of Astrology, Avalon School of Astrology and Kepler College. She is the author of nine books and a tutor for the School of Traditional Astrology, both in horary and in a medical course which she designed. Her Classical Studies correspondence courses bring classical astrology to the forefront as an astrological system. Lehman was the recipient of the 1995 Marc Edmund Jones Award and the 2008 Regulus Award for Education. Website

Workshop: Saturday, April 21, 2018
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Lynn Koiner
Beginning and Ending PlanetsA Beginning Planet is one that is the earliest by degree in the chart, showing inexperience regarding the planet’s energy. It is not always used well when starting or in a new situation. An Ending Planet is the one latest by degree in the chart, indicating an energy that may be over-developed and can become distorted. Going to extremes with the Ending Planet is possible before releasing the energy. Lynn will guide us in seeing the influence of Beginning and Ending planets in charts that participants bring and we’ll learn about the impact of transits seen in this light.

Lynn Koiner has been a full-time professional astrologer since 1969. She is the International Liaison for the National Council for Geocosmic Research, Inc., conducting Global Gatherings interviews with astrologers in other countries. Her primary focus for research is evaluating psychological profiles, which is the basis for her courses in Medical Astrology at the International Academy of Astrology. Website
