As part of our educational efforts, we offer full-day workshops with the opportunity to delve into a topic, roll up your sleeves and get hands-on experience. We take a nice lunch break together at a nearby restaurant (what you select is at your own expense), giving us time to get to know one another and exchange ideas stimulated by the workshop.
The September, October and April workshops are at our usual workshop location: Room 302, Fisk Hall, Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT. (Wesleyan University does not endorse or sponsor ASC events.)
An exception is our May workshop, which will be held at Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Wethersfield, CT.
Directions to both locations
All our workshops cost:
$40 for members, $50 for non-members,
half-price with a valid Student ID
Registration starts at the door 30 minutes before the workshop begins.

This Season’s Workshops
Basic Astrology Workshop
Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Delve into the basic building blocks – planets, signs, houses and aspects – to combine them into natal chart interpretations. Part of the day, we’ll break into small working groups to gain a greater grasp of these important foundational chart components. Pre-register to receive handouts in advance. Taught by experienced professional members of the ASC: Julianne Johnson, Agneta Borstein, Janet Booth and Mary Ellen Norton. Bring your birth time to follow your chart and offer as an example, if you wish.
Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Each planet has a unique intrinsic energy signature – a “frequency” to which it is keyed. Before we focus on the sign the planet is in, appreciate the vibe of the planet itself. We will explore many creative techniques to use all our senses to understand the frequencies of the planets and then look at combinations of these signature energies with new appreciation. When we sense and tune in to the frequency of the planet, it is so much easier to interpret planetary aspects, midpoints, transits and solar arcs.

Intermediate Astrology – Timing With Transits
Sunday, April 19, 2020
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Learn how to assess the impact of planets in motion (called “transits”) as they affect natal charts. Working part of the day in small groups, everyone will have the opportunity to consider how transiting aspects might manifest. Taught by experienced professional members of the ASC. Bring your birth time to follow your chart and offer as an example, if you wish.
Jung Astrology and Dreams
An Experiential Workshop
Saturday, May 23, 2020
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
NOTE: this workshop will be held at the Keeney Center in Wethersfield.
Jung cast birth charts for his patients and also studied their dreams. Following Jung’s example, this presentation explores the connection between planetary symbols and archetypal figures and themes appearing in our dreams. We’ll consider how dreams reflect celestial symbolism while astrology reveals the internal order and meaning of dreams. Combining astrology and dreams has the power to awaken us emotionally and energetically. Participants are invited to bring a dream and their natal chart and transits to offer as a potential example.
